Rick started Tru Story Brand Strategy & Creative in 2013 to revive a service model that the ad industry has lost amidst mega-mergers coupled with consolidation of services that have put revenue and agency share holders ahead of Client service.


His vision is to provide what agencies seem no longer able to: Dedicated senior talent, working on day-to-day Client needs… and at a reasonable cost.


Rick has spent most of his life in the advertising and marketing fields holding senior positions at some of the world’s top agency brands.  Trained at Ogilvy & Mather for the first 9 years of his career, he subsequently held Senior Vice President positions at BBDO, MacLaren McCann and Saatchi & Saatchi.  He was also President of a division of MacLaren McCann for 9 years.   


Experienced in multiple categories including Finance, Technology, Health Care, Retail, Automotive aftermarket and Consumer Packaged Goods, Rick is able to apply skill and knowledge to a wide variety of business models including B2B, Retail and Consumer markets.


His Clients and colleagues see him as a dynamic leader who generates ideas and has the drive and experience to bring them to life through flawless execution.
